I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that helps adults break free from the patterns that keep them feeling trapped. whether that's the cycle of binge eating and restriction, anxiety and avoidance, or relying on substances to get through the day.

My approach blends compassion with practicality. Therapy should be a place where you feel understood and accepted—but it should also help you create meaningful change. I am not here to keep you in therapy longer than you need or spend months talking in circles. Together, we will identify what's keeping you stuck, learn evidence-based skills that actually work, and build lasting changes that align with the life you want to live.

I believe the way through it is by facing it. Avoidance may bring temporary relief, but it often keeps anxiety, eating disorder behaviors, and other struggles alive. In therapy, we will take a step-by-step approach to confronting what's been holding you back—at a pace that feels challenging but manageable, so you can build lasting confidence instead of staying stuck.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT-E (specifically designed to treat eating disorders), CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Exposure Therapy, or an Eclectic approach tailoring treatment to your unique goals and needs.

If you're ready to stop feeling controlled by old patterns and start creating lasting change, I'd be honored to support you.

All are welcome in my virtual therapy room. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and inclusive space where you are treated with respect and compassion, regardless of your race, ethnicity, culture, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, body size, ability, age, or relationship structure. You are welcome here exactly as you are.

Evidence Based Practices

Eating Disorders:

CBT-E

CBT-AR (ARFID)

In my practice, CBT-E (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-Enhanced), specifically designed for treating eating disorders, has proven highly effective. It can be used to treat all eating disorders including Binge Eating Disorder and CBT-AR for ARFID. Through targeted interventions, clients are guided in challenging maladaptive thoughts and behaviors related to food and body image. Providing personalized education and skill-building techniques CBT-E empowers clients to regularize their eating patterns and address body image challenges.

CBT-AR is a specialized treatment for ARFID that helps individuals gradually expand their food variety, reduce food-related anxiety and avoidance, and build confidence with eating through structured exposure, skill-building, and support.

Anxiety & Phobias:

CBT and Exposure Therapy

Avoidance often keeps anxiety feeling powerful. CBT and Exposure Therapy are highly effective for treating phobias and anxiety. It involves gradually facing feared situations in a controlled way, helping to reduce anxiety over time. By addressing the negative thoughts that fuel fear, CBT helps individuals build healthier coping strategies and gain more confidence in managing their anxiety. Whether it's for social anxiety, specific phobias, or general anxiety, exposure therapy in CBT provides powerful tools for lasting change..

Alcohol & Substance Use:

CBT and Motivational Interviewing

CBT and Motivational Interviewing work together to help you better understand your relationship with substances and create meaningful change. CBT focuses on identifying the thoughts, emotions, triggers, and behaviors connected to substance use while building new coping strategies and skills.

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach that helps you explore your own reasons for change, clarify your values, and work through any mixed feelings about changing your substance use. Rather than telling you what you “should” do, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and support you in making choices that align with the life you want to build.

Mindfulness and Somatic Practices

As a longtime yoga and meditation practitioner, I believe in the importance of integrating mind and body in the healing process. Mindfulness and somatic techniques can be valuable, evidence-informed practices that help increase awareness of thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and patterns of responding.

When appropriate, we may incorporate mindfulness-based skills and body-centered practices to help you build emotional regulation, reconnect with yourself, tolerate discomfort, and develop a greater sense of presence and self-compassion alongside above mentioned evidence-based therapies.
